Geoffrey Kistruck, PhD
Geoffrey Kistruck, PhD, is the Associate Professor; Ron Binns Chair in Entrepreneurship at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Canada. He is also the Director of the Social Innovation Lab, and a Research Fellow at the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan. Geoff’s primary research interests involve social entrepreneurship and innovation on the part of organizations seeking to alleviate poverty in base-of-the-pyramid markets. His research projects are often action-oriented in nature in that they involve the design and field testing of theoretically-based solutions to current challenges faced by social enterprises.
Geoff is presently an Editor at Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, and has published articles in a number of leading management journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Operations Management, Organization Studies, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
Prior to entering academe, he served in a number of managerial positions within venture capital and financial services.
