Mayor Bryan Barnett
Bryan K. Barnett has served as Rochester Hills’ Mayor for over nine years and has received a considerable list of national and regional honors. His administration is recognized for innovation, fiscal responsibility, and environmental leadership. In November 2015, Mayor Barnett won a historic third term as a write in candidate, making it the largest write in win in a general election in the history of the State of Michigan.
Mayor Barnett is a graduate of Oakland University and former Student Body President. Throughout his career, his leadership has been notably recognized with the Outstanding Michigander of the Year award, Oakland County “Elite 40 Under 40,” and recipient of the prestigious John F. Kennedy School of Government Harvard Scholarship.
Mayor Barnett continues his leadership by serving on the US Conference of Mayors Board of Trustees and as Chair of the SEMCOG Green Infrastructure Task Force. He has also been requested to represent Rochester Hills and southeast Michigan on several international missions focused on sustainability and economic development.
